William Sharp

PhD
William Sharp, PhD, is a clinical psychologist and professor in the Department of Pediatrics at Emory University School of Medicine. He serves as Director of the Multidisciplinary Feeding Program at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, where he leads a collaborative team of psychologists, physicians, speech-language pathologists, and dietitians dedicated to evaluating and treating children with pediatric feeding disorder and avoidant restrictive food intake disorder (ARFID). Dr. Sharp’s research focuses on the causes, consequences, and treatment of chronic food refusal in pediatric populations. His most recent work involves the development and evaluation of a training curriculum for therapists to deliver a manual-based intervention targeting food selectivity—characterized by extremely narrow dietary patterns—in children with ARFID. His clinical and academic contributions reflect a deep commitment to advancing evidence-based care and improving outcomes for children with complex feeding challenges.
