Tracie Bearden

Tracie Bearden, MS, CCC-SLP, CBIST, is a medical speech-language pathologist with over 16 years of experience working in acute care and inpatient rehabilitation settings. As both a clinician and a survivor of traumatic brain injury, Tracie brings a unique and deeply personal perspective to her work. She is a Certified Brain Injury Specialist Trainer (CBIST) through the Academy of Certified Brain Injury Specialists, a credential she has held since 2020 after previously serving as a Certified Brain Injury Specialist (CBIS) since 2017. Tracie is the founder of TBI MedSLP, a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing brain injury education, advocacy, and prevention for both the community and medical professionals. Her professional mission is to help brain injury survivors live safely and independently while empowering clinicians to champion advocacy and evidence-based care in neurorehabilitation.
