Taína Jiménez López, SLPD, CCC-SLP, is currently an Assistant Professor and Practicum Coordinator at the University of Puerto Rico Medical Sciences Campus. She is a bilingual speech-language pathologist who primarily provides services via teletherapy to culturally and linguistically diverse school-age children with various communication disorders.
Taína received her B.A. in Psychology and M.S. in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Puerto Rico. She completed her Doctorate in Speech-Language Pathology (SLPD) at Nova Southeastern University in 2020. Her clinical experience has focused primarily on school settings, including positions in Massachusetts (Boston Public Schools) and California. Taína has also served as Clinical Training Director at Albizu University and Clinical Manager at Bilingual Therapies and VocoVision.
She is a member of the Coordinating Committee for ASHA’s Special Interest Group 18: Telepractice and serves on the board of directors for her state’s professional organization, OPPHLA.
