Stephane Philippe-Ratway received her M.S. in Speech-Language Pathology from Florida State University in 1993. She has over three decades of experience working across the healthcare continuum, including trauma ICUs, acute care settings, rehabilitation, and home health. Since 2018, she has worked primarily in the spinal cord injury rehabilitation unit of UHealth/Jackson Christine Lynn Rehabilitation Center, serving patients with different levels of SCI and varying degrees of paralysis. Over the last four years, she has served as the primary investigator in research on pulmonary rehabilitation in spinal cord injury. In 2023, she received the Craig H. Neilsen Foundation Allied Health Professional Research Award of ASIA, which funded her research. She has delivered numerous presentations at conferences and currently serves
in the leadership council of the Spinal Cord Injury Support Group of South Florida and on the Women’s Support Group.
