Shirley Huang

PhD, CCC-SLP
Shirley Huang, PhD, CCC-SLP, is a bilingual language development researcher, speech-language pathologist, and health and science policy analyst. She is currently a health and science policy fellow with the Society for Research in Child Development (SRCD)/American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) at the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development, part of the National Institutes of Health. Her goal is to increase health equity and reduce healthcare barriers for bilingual children and their families through culturally competent clinical care, community-engaged research, and impactful health and science policy changes. Shirley is also affiliate faculty at Metropolitan State University of Denver, where she teaches a graduate-level course on bilingualism and is passionate about training the next generation of clinicians.
