MS, CCC-SLP
Growing up in a military family, I traveled throughout my childhood before officially settling in Oklahoma. My father was a pilot, and my mother was a reading specialist. As a child, I remember the enjoyment I felt when working with my childhood speech therapist on my expressive language skills. She planted a seed that eventually grew into the passion I have today for this amazing field. While my speech therapist aided the development of my language skills, my mother passionately worked to build literacy in my life. I was surrounded by selfless individuals who wanted to see others succeed, and I wanted to be just like them. Entering Northern Oklahoma College in 2014, I knew I wanted to find a field where I could serve others. However, it wasn’t until 2016 at the University of Central Oklahoma that I felt the push to pursue communication sciences and disorders. I immediately knew this field was meant for me, and after the first semester of classes, I had my goal set to be a speech-language pathologist. In 2018, I was given the opportunity to continue my studies and complete my master’s at Oklahoma State University. I will forever shout, 'Go Pokes!' Graduating in 2020 during the heart of COVID came with its own challenges. However, I was that much closer to earning my CCCs. I joined my current company, Quantum Resource Professionals, immediately following graduation and began my clinical fellowship working as a school based SLP in Emporia, KS. I never knew how much I would love working with students in the school setting. In graduate school, I had my head set on going straight into a medical setting, but I am so happy where life has taken me. Since then, I have worked in both Emporia and Kansas City, Kansas Public Schools, as well as, gaining experience and knowledge working within skilled nursing facilities across the state of KS. In 2023, I jumped into the role of Clinical Supervisor at Quantum, and each day, I get the opportunity to mentor and collaborate with amazing professionals who share the passion of supporting others in their journey to find peace and power in sounds and words.
