Rachel Hahn Arkenberg

Rachel Hahn Arkenberg, PhD, CCC-SLP, CLC, is a medical speech-language pathologist and lactation counselor who earned her PhD under the mentorship of Dr. Georgia Malandraki in the Imaging, Evaluation, and Treatment of Swallowing Lab at Purdue University. She uses a dynamic systems approach to study the neurophysiological development of swallowing in the context of family, culture, language, and motor development. Her career goal is to improve the holistic health of families with infants and children with swallowing disorders. Rachel serves on the Dysphagia Research Society Student Advisory Council and was a member of the ASHA 2022 pediatric dysphagia planning committee.
