Dr. Piya Gandhi, DDS, is a board-certified pediatric dentist specializing in functional pediatric dentistry. Her practice screens all patients for airway, sleep, speech, feeding, and growth and development disorders. She specializes in diagnosing and treating airway issues in infants and children, including tongue and lip ties. Dr. Gandhi’s passion for tethered oral tissues (TOTs) stems from her personal experience with her older daughter, Cyrah, and her goal is to help families avoid similar struggles.
Dr. Gandhi has completed extensive post-residency training in airway development and the diagnosis and treatment of oral restrictions. She screens all her patients for potential issues that could impact growth, development, and healthy sleep. She believes in a comprehensive, team-based approach and follows the Function First Model.
She has built a strong network of practitioners in the greater Houston area and within her own practice. Her in-house team includes a speech-language pathologist, myofunctional therapist, pediatric chiropractor, and international board-certified lactation consultant, allowing the office to provide convenient, collaborative care.
Dr. Gandhi is passionate about sharing her expertise. When she’s not seeing patients, she’s meeting with local providers to build partnerships or lecturing nationally to raise awareness about airway disorders and tongue ties.
