Natalie Douglas, PhD, CCC-SLP, is a professor in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at Central Michigan University and serves as an editor for the Adults section of the Informed SLP. For the past 20 years, she has supported individuals living with dementia, aphasia, and other communication disorders through clinical practice, quality improvement initiatives, teaching, and research. As a speech-language pathologist, she specializes in enhancing access to communication so individuals can express their feelings, preferences, and needs to support meaningful relationships. Her current work focuses on pragmatic clinical trials and the development of learning health systems.
