Madeline Raatz

Madeline Raatz, BSpPath, is a senior speech pathologist at Queensland Children’s Hospital in Brisbane, Australia, and a PhD candidate at The University of Queensland. Her doctoral research, supervised by Professor Elizabeth Ward and Dr Jeanne Marshall, explores the validity and reliability of delivering paediatric feeding services via telehealth. With a clinical background in paediatric dysphagia and a commitment to service innovation, Madeline’s work aims to expand access to high-quality feeding assessments for children and families across diverse settings. Her research contributes to the growing evidence base for telepractice in speech pathology, with a focus on safety, efficacy, and family-centered care.
