Lois Kam Heymann, MA, CCC-SLP, is a speech-language pathologist with over 40 years of experience working with children facing listening, hearing, and learning challenges, as well as supporting their parents and educators. Recognized as a leading authority on Auditory Processing Disorder (APD) and Auditory-Language Processing challenges, Lois has presented hundreds of workshops, seminars, and conferences nationally and internationally for parents, school staff, and speech therapists. A lifetime member of ASHA, she holds certifications in New York and California. After relocating from New York City to Santa Monica, California, Lois established an evaluation center and offers consulting and training programs both virtually and in person. Her evidence-based programs include APD Masterclass I—Auditory-Language Processing in Children, Sounds Fun! Levels 1 and 2, and Listening Skills in Schools, all available through her website www.listenlovelearn.com. Lois is also the author of Sound of Hope: Recognizing, Coping with, and Treating Your Child's Auditory Processing Disorder, which features an introduction by Rosie O'Donnell.
