Lisa is a certified practicing speech pathologist and an internationally certified listening and spoken language specialist (LSLS CERT AVT). She graduated with an honors degree in Speech and Hearing Therapy from the University of Witwatersrand in South Africa in 1992, and in January 2023, she completed her Master of Research degree in Applied Science at the University of Sydney. She also obtained her LSLS certification from the AG Bell Academy in 2012. Lisa worked as a Senior Listening and Spoken Language Specialist (LSLS) in an early intervention center for children with hearing loss until she moved to Israel in March 2023. Lisa has a broad range of experience, including working directly with children and their families, mentoring and training, lecturing and student supervision, and clinical research. She currently lives in Israel and continues to mentor and supervise therapists who work with children with hearing loss. Lisa loves being a clinician first and foremost and has always enjoyed working alongside a child’s family unit and support team, using a family-centered care approach to help them reach their best possible outcomes.
