Lindsay Meyer Turner, PhD, CCC-SLP, CNT, IBCLC, RLC, NTMTC, is a nationally recognized expert in neonatal feeding and swallowing disorders. She serves in the Level III NICU at HCA Houston Healthcare Kingwood (TX) and is the founder of *Dandelion Feeding & Speech Therapy, PLLC*. With 14 years of experience in outpatient pediatrics and NICU care, Dr. Turner has led the development of programs focused on neuroprotection, oral feeding (breast and bottle), language nutrition, and parent engagement.
Her current research explores cue-based feeding protocols, parent-facilitated language nutrition, nurturing touch and bonding, and the impact of swaddle bathing on oral feeding performance. Dr. Turner holds master’s and doctoral degrees in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Louisiana State University, a master’s in Elementary Education from Southern University, and a bachelor’s from Millsaps College.
She is board certified as a Neonatal Therapist, an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant, and a Certified Neonatal Touch and Massage Therapist. A committed educator and mentor, Dr. Turner lectures nationally, mentors graduate students, and trains medical professionals and SLPs across clinical settings. She has presented at NBASLH (2018) and ASHA (2023, 2024), and serves on the ASHA Convention Pediatric Feeding and Swallowing Committee. She is also a member of the University of Houston’s Community Advisory Board and adjunct faculty at Valdosta State University and Southern University.
