Laura Purcell Verdun, MA, CCC-SLP, is a licensed speech-language pathologist and the owner of *Voicetrainer, LLC*, a solo practice serving the metropolitan Washington, DC area. She holds licensure in both Washington, DC and Virginia, and is a graduate of Saint Louis University.
Laura is a Lecturer at George Washington University, where she teaches Professional Issues, and a Visiting Lecturer at Hampton University, contributing to coursework in Voice Disorders. She serves as Vice-Chair for Speech-Language Pathology on ASHA’s Council for Clinical Certification (CFCC) and is a member of ASHA’s Ad Hoc Committee on Centennial Planning. Her leadership roles include serving as Co-Chair for the #ASHA21 Convention (#RisingUnited) and as a former Board Member for CurePSP, an advocacy organization supporting individuals with atypical parkinsonism.
