Krystal L. Werfel is an associate professor in Communication Sciences and Disorders and director of the Written Language Lab at the University of South Carolina. Her research interests focus on literacy outcomes for children with hearing loss who use spoken language, with particular interest in developing appropriate assessment and intervention approaches. Her research is funded by NIH.
