Kim Murza

Kim Murza, PhD, CCC-SLP, is the Associate Dean of Research and Faculty Affairs in the College of Natural and Health Sciences at the University of Northern Colorado. She earned her doctorate in Education: Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Central Florida, specializing in language and literacy. Prior to her current role, Dr. Murza served as a Professor of Speech-Language Pathology in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders. With clinical experience in both private practice and public school systems, Dr. Murza has worked with children and adolescents of all ages. She is passionate about supporting school-based speech-language pathologists in delivering inclusive, collaborative services. Her primary research focuses on the development, delivery, and evaluation of high-quality professional learning in schools. Additional interests include interprofessional collaboration, coaching of extenders, community-engaged learning, and the scholarship of teaching and learning. Dr. Murza is also involved in the development and coordination of the Greeley Treasure Chest Program and Project L.I.F.E. (Literacy for Immigrant Families Everyday).
