Dr. Jay Lucker, EdD, CCC-A/SLP, FAAA, is a Professor and Director of the Five-Year Accelerated Master’s Degree Program in Speech-Language Pathology at Howard University in Washington, D.C. He is a certified and licensed audiologist and speech-language pathologist, specializing in auditory processing and its disorders. Dr. Lucker is an internationally recognized expert in the field, with numerous publications in professional journals worldwide.
He also serves on the Board of Directors for Head to Speech Incorporated, where he brings his expertise in auditory processing disorders to support athletes recovering from head injuries and concussions. Many individuals with even mild concussions may experience trauma to systems involved in processing auditory information—an often overlooked consequence that can impact communication, education, social interactions, and overall quality of life.
