Georgia A. Malandraki

Georgia A. Malandraki, PhD, CCC-SLP, BCS-S, is an Associate Professor of Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences and Biomedical Engineering at Purdue University and a Board Certified Specialist in Swallowing Disorders. She investigates developmental and treatment neuroplasticity, and rehabilitative and telehealth interventions for dysphagia. Malandraki has been conducting research and offering clinical and consultation services for dysphagia management via telehealth for the past 14 years. Related to this podcast, she is the co-Chair of the newly formed ISHA Telehealth Task Force and a member of the new Dysphagia Research Society COVID-19 Task Force. She also serves as the Secretary/Treasurer of the Dysphagia Research Society. Her work is funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIDCD and NIBIB), the Purdue Research Foundation, and several private.
