Erin Forward

Erin Forward, MSP, CCC-SLP, CLC, is a speech-language pathologist, certified lactation counselor, and full time DIRFloortime® Expert and Training Leader, with ICDL. She is a national speaker and her work focuses on pediatric feeding and swallowing, neurodiversity-affirming and trauma-informed care, and relationship-based approaches to supporting children and families. Erin has extensive experience working with medically complex children, autistic children, and children with Pediatric Feeding Disorder and ARFID across hospital, outpatient, and private practice settings. She is passionate about helping clinicians move beyond compliance-based approaches and instead prioritize regulation, connection, curiosity, and each child’s individual differences. Through teaching, mentorship, speaking, and her podcast Rooted in Connection, Erin works to bridge research and clinical practice while encouraging professionals to see relationships as foundational to meaningful therapeutic change.
