Erik X. Raj

PhD, CCC-SLP
Dr. Erik X. Raj, PhD, CCC-SLP, is a certified speech-language pathologist and associate professor in the Department of Speech-Language Pathology at Monmouth University in West Long Branch, New Jersey. He directs the Meaningful Digital Experiences Research Lab, where he explores innovative ways to enhance communication therapy through technology. Dr. Raj works with children and adults with diverse communication needs, blending clinical expertise with creative approaches. Before entering the field full-time, he was a passionate rock musician and member of several bands—an experience that deepened his appreciation for music as a universal language and shaped his belief in the power of artistic expression in therapy. His work bridges the worlds of speech-language pathology, digital design, and artistic communication, inspiring clients and clinicians alike to find meaning and connection through creative modalities.
