Dr. Christine Sapienza, PhD, CCC-SLP, is a nationally recognized leader in speech science and higher education. She currently serves as Executive Vice President for Partnerships and Development at Jacksonville University, where she previously held roles as Provost and Senior Vice President of Academic Affairs. Since joining JU in 2013 as Dean of the College of Healthcare Sciences, Dr. Sapienza has played a pivotal role in advancing academic innovation and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Prior to her tenure at JU, she served as Chair of the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at the University of Florida, where she helped shape the next generation of clinicians and researchers. Dr. Sapienza holds a Ph.D. in Speech Science from the University at Buffalo and has authored or co-authored more than 125 academic publications. Her textbook, *Voice Disorders* (4th Edition), remains a foundational resource in the field of communication disorders.
