Cheri Dodge Chin, ClinScD, CCC-SLP, is an assistive technology consultant, adjunct professor, and published researcher. Prior to her current role, she worked for 20 years as a speech-language pathologist in pediatric private practice, rehabilitation, clinics, and schools. Dr. Dodge holds a clinical doctorate in speech-language pathology and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Education degree with a focus on AAC.
A pioneer in the world of SLP blogs and social media, Dr. Dodge was one of the first SLP bloggers. Her blog, Super Power Speech, contains over 700 posts. Her mission is to help SLPs create organizational systems (she is an "organization queen!"), develop communication-affirming IEPs, and support AAC users. She has created more than 300 resources to support goals in AAC, language, articulation, and social skills.
A former competitive debater, Dr. Dodge loves public speaking on engaging topics such as AAC, literacy, language, and organizational strategies for SLPs. She has presented at the local, state, and national levels.
Dr. Dodge is the proud mom of two teens and two puppies. She and her husband live in beautiful Portland, Oregon. In her free time, you can find her hiking, riding her Peloton, or reading.
