Catherine Stromberg

Catherine H. Stromberg is a Clinical Instructor in the Communication Sciences and Disorders Department at the University of South Carolina. She is the co-chair for the neurogenic specialty group and the ASHA CE Administrator for the COMD department. She served as the VP of Clinical and Professional Affairs with the South Carolina Speech Language Hearing Association. She served as the ASHA CE Administrator and Convention Co-Chair during that time. As VP of Clinical and Professional Affairs, she developed the Multi-Cultural Affairs Committee (MAC). She has treated clients for more than 16 years in acute, acute inpatient rehabilitation, skilled nursing, Long-term Care, schools, and outpatient settings. She was Awarded “Exemplary” status and recognition by CARF for aspiration initiative and performance improvement committee while working at Carolinas’ Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation Hospital. Ms. Stromberg also developed the Multiple Sclerosis Support Group of Florence, the Parkinsons Support Group of Florence, as well as the Amputee Support Group of Florence. Ms. Stromberg holds a specialty certification in autism as a Certified Autism Spectrum Disorder Clinical Specialist.
