Catherine Sandhofer

Dr. Catherine Sandhofer is a Professor of Psychology at UCLA whose research focuses on cognitive development and learning. She studies how children acquire words, categories, and concepts, and how these processes are supported by the learning environment. Her Language and Cognitive Development Lab examines how children’s language learning environments, especially caregiver input, shape word acquisition.
