Cara Donahue

PhD, CCC-SLP
Dr. Cara Donohue, PhD, CCC-SLP, is a practicing speech-language pathologist, Assistant Professor, Medical Speech-Language Pathology Director, and head of the Innovative Research in Aerodigestive Disorders (iRAD) Laboratory at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. She completed her doctoral studies in the Computational Deglutition Lab at the University of Pittsburgh and her post-doctoral research fellowship in the Aerodigestive Research Core Laboratory at the University of Florida. Her research aims to improve clinical care, patient outcomes, and quality of life for individuals with swallowing disorders. Her current research is funded by the American Heart Association, the Alzheimer’s Association, and the NHLBI.
