Caitlin Saxtein

Caitlin Saxtein, M.S., CCC-SLP, BCS-S, CBIS, is a medical speech-language pathologist, currently working in the acute care setting and has experience in subacute rehabilitation, outpatient, and home health. Caitlin is the Director of Speech Pathology and a Speaker’s Bureau committee member of Long Island Speech-Language-Hearing Association (LISHA), and the Co-Chair of the Adult/Medical Dysphagia Track for the 2021 New York State Speech-Language-Hearing Association (NYSSLHA) Convention. She is an active member of ASHA Special Interest Group 13 (Swallowing and Swallowing Disorders), the Dysphagia Research Society (DRS), and New York City Dysphagia Study Group (NYCDSG). Caitlin also has an extensive background with East End Hospice, volunteering with this organization for nearly 15 years and holds CAPC Designation in Communication Skills, Pain Management, Symptom Manage, and Best Practices in Dementia Care and Caregiver Support through the Center to Advance Palliative Care. She is a 6-time ASHA ACE Award recipient, has been selected to present at the local, state, and national level and featured as a guest speak speaker on the Swallow Your Pride Podcast and the Speech Uncensored Podcast.
