Bethany Frick Semmler, PhD, CCC-SLP, is the AAC Research and Outreach Coordinator in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at Penn State. She recently earned her PhD in Speech and Hearing Science from The Ohio State University. She received her B.S. in Spanish and Communication Sciences and Disorders from Missouri State University and her M.A. in Speech-Language Pathology from The Ohio State University.
During her master's program, Bethany was part of the Leadership in Education and Neurodevelopmental Disabilities (LEND) program. Her research focuses on early language learning in augmentative and alternative communication and the features of speech-generating devices.
