Becky Khayum, MS, CCC-SLP, is a speech-language pathologist who specializes in person-centered care for individuals living with neurodegenerative conditions, including primary progressive aphasia (PPA). Over the past 18 years, she has worked across various rehabilitation settings, with a particular focus on dementia care. Becky is the president and founder of Memory and Aphasia Care, a therapy company that provides participation-focused services for people in the Chicago region, as well as telehealth services nationwide. She is also the co-founder and a Care Manager at Cognitive Concierge, a digital wellness company offering support and resources for families coping with memory loss and aphasia. She has collaborated on research initiatives focused on person-centered speech-language treatment for individuals with PPA at the Northwestern Mesulam Center for Cognitive Neurology and Alzheimer’s Disease. Becky speaks nationally to train healthcare providers and families on creatively implementing person-centered strategies to address common challenges associated with aphasia, memory loss, and behavioral changes. She currently serves as co-chair of the PPA Task Force at the National Aphasia Association.
