Anne S. Warlaumont is a Professor at UCLA's Department of Communication and directs the Emergence of Communication Lab. Her research focuses on understanding how speech vocalizations and communicative signals develop during human infancy, as well as the evolutionary roots of vocal signals. Using computational models and naturalistic recordings, she investigates early communication and its developmental trajectories.
