Amber Bettencourt, MS, CCC-SLP, ATACP, worked in the technology and fashion industries before returning to school for Speech-Language Pathology. She obtained a M.S. degree from the University of Louisiana at Monroe where she co-lectured on African-American English and Bilingualism as a graduate student, taught English in South Korea and has worked in both the school and medical settings in New England and California. Over the past two summers she has supervised undergraduate trips with Therapy Abroad in Belize. Amber was selected as a participant in the American Speech-Language Hearing Association’s (ASHA) Leadership Development Program for School-Based Professionals (LDP) in 2019, and received the Distinguished Early Career Professional (ECP) Certificate last year. Amber currently works in Northern California schools as a Speech-Language Pathologist and an Assistive Technology Specialist.
