Kimberly Shore Levin, MS, CCC-SLP, graduated cum laude from James Madison University in 1995 with a degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders and a minor in Psychology. She earned her Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in December 1996. Over the next 20 years, she worked in various hospitals throughout the Washington, D.C. area, including the National Rehabilitation Hospital, George Washington University Hospital, and the Clinical Center at the National Institutes of Health.
Kim has always enjoyed working with the adult neurogenic population and spent most of her career supporting medically compromised patients in acute care, acute rehabilitation, and outpatient settings. She gained extensive experience with executive function in the context of traumatic brain injury and concussions. Always up for a challenge, Kim decided to expand her clinical skills by working with a new population—adolescents and young adults with underlying mental health issues. She has since discovered a deep passion for this age group and can’t imagine doing anything else.
Kim is a proud mom of three teenagers (ages 17, 16, and 14) and two dogs. In her spare time, she volunteers for Canine Companions for Independence and supports her children’s high school.
