Mary Jutila, MS, CCC-SLP, graduated from Loma Linda University with her degree in Speech-Language Pathology and a General Education Teaching Credential. She also earned her graduate degree in Communicative Disorders from the University of Redlands. Over the course of 20 years, Mary has been a private practitioner, a school therapist, and a Special Day Class teacher.
She has mentored several graduate and undergraduate SLP students, chaired the Read Across America committee at her school, and started a highly successful school Speech Intervention Program. Most notably, while in the elementary school setting, Mary was awarded the distinguished honor of “Teacher of the Year.”
Mary has written several books (as well as a personal blog) and has spoken at a variety of conferences in the United States and Canada. She has a passion for connecting with others in a meaningful way and bringing joy into her students’ lives while enriching their communication skills. Mary has three young adult children and lives in the Willow Glen area of San Jose, CA.
