Ilene Sperling, MA, CCC/SLP, is a Certified Perception-Action Approach Instructor who has been working in the field for over 40 years. She has worked within a variety of practice settings, in-home, and office-based through Early Intervention and private practice, as well as preschool and hospital-based programs. Ilene has specialized in working with infants and children with movement, balance, and coordination disorders often associated with motor speech, feeding, and respiratory/phonatory difficulties. She is highly regarded for her work using a body-centered approach integrated into the treatment of feeding and motor speech disorders. Ilene was an NDT Certified clinician and Speech Instructor prior to becoming a Certified Clinician and Instructor in the Perception-Action Approach (previously known as TAMO). She is a Founding member of the Institute for Perception-Action Approach and is currently on the Board of Directors. She holds Certification in Zero Balancing and Cranial Sacral Therapy and is PROMPT trained. Ilene has presented many courses on the Perception-Action Approach, both nationally and internationally, with a focus on developing goals and intervention strategies for the Speech-Language Pathologist.
