Elissa Kilduff, MA, CCC-SLP, currently works as a speech-language pathologist in a large metropolitan school district in Atlanta. As one of five SLPs at an elementary school, she primarily serves PreK through 2nd grade students with a variety of disabilities and special needs. Prior to her current role, Elissa served as the lead SLP, where she supervised and trained over 150 SLPs in the county.
Elissa has a strong interest in language-based learning disabilities, collaboration with general and special education teachers, and curriculum-based interventions.
She was a member of the Georgia School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist Leadership Team, established through the Georgia Department of Education (GaDOE), and contributed to the development of a statewide training for SLPs and general education teachers on collaboration. Elissa has designed numerous resources, including evidence-based interventions and progress monitoring rubrics for Response to Intervention (RTI); language checklists aligned with grade-level standards; and tools to assess the educational impact of common standardized language assessments.
She is also the co-author of IEP Goal Writing for School-Based Speech-Language Pathologists: Utilizing State Standards, published by Plural Publishing.
