Dr. Danielle Brimo is a professor and director of the Davies School of COSD at Texas Christian University. Her research program aims to identify and improve the language skills that support the academic success of children with developmental language disorders. Her primary line of research employs quantitative methodologies to identify the morphological and syntactic language skills that contribute to school-age children’s spoken language, written composition, and reading comprehension. The outcomes of this research led her to develop a secondary line of research evaluating the explicit grammatical knowledge of pre-professional speech-language pathology students.
