Brianna Emanuel, MS, CCC-SLP, grew up in Appleton, WI, and currently resides there with her husband and puppy. She attended the University of Wisconsin–Madison for her undergraduate degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders and earned her master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Wisconsin–Stevens Point. In this role, she was the primary contact for students and staff with questions or difficulties related to AAC technology.
Brianna has experience programming, maintaining, backing up, resetting, and troubleshooting more than 15 communication devices and applications. She actively communicated with representatives and technology experts from leading vendors of communication devices, including Talk To Me Technologies, Tobii Dynavox, and AssistiveWare. While employed by her local school district, Brianna partnered with the local Parks and Recreation Department to install a core and fringe communication board at a handicap-accessible park.
Her passion for working with children with disabilities stems from her personal experience growing up with a mother who uses a wheelchair due to a physical disability. Brianna’s commitment to helping children and giving others “a voice” has been evident since the early years of her career.
