Susan Fitzell, MEd, CSP, has been teaching since 1980 and has spent the past 20 years working onsite in classrooms across the United States, collaborating closely with teachers and specialists—including SLPs—to help them make a difference for students. She is a dynamic, internationally recognized presenter, educational consultant, and the CEO of Aim Hi Education Programs, LLC.
Susan has authored a dozen books for teachers, parents, and students, and is one of only 650 Certified Speaking Professionals (CSPs) in the world. Her latest book, Best Practices in Co-teaching and Collaboration, includes a chapter highlighting how SLPs can be more effective in the inclusive classroom.
Susan credits one of her colleagues, a speech-language pathologist, with saving her son from years of misdiagnoses by recommending that she take him to an ENT who specializes in Central Auditory Processing Disorder (CAPD).
