Rochel Lieberman, PhD, CCC-SLP, is a researcher and practicing speech-language pathologist at WholeStory Speech. She provides parent education and works with children who have social communication disorders—both formally diagnosed and those with related challenges—to help them understand and navigate the social world using Story Emotion Social Therapy (SEST), a therapeutic approach she developed.
SEST is designed to support children ages 7 and up, along with their parents, in building stronger social communication and emotional intelligence skills. Rochel is the author of an instructional curriculum textbook titled SEST's WholeStory Therapist Guide and Principal Curriculum. She is also the author of a children’s book and parent guide, Pearla and Her Unpredictably Perfect Day, which helps children manage perfectionism anxiety and develop social and emotional competence.
Her research, publications, and presentations focus on child language, emotional intelligence, and student stress.
