Paul Tardy

OTR/L
Paul, OTR/L, is the co-owner of *PT the OT Therapy and Wellness*, which he founded with his wife Jennifer in 2007. He provides home-based early intervention occupational therapy services to children throughout The Midlands, drawing on 24 years of clinical expertise across diverse therapeutic settings. Originally from Maine, Paul enlisted in the U.S. Army after high school and was stationed in Alaska. Following his military service, he was inspired by his brother—then studying physical therapy—to pursue a career in occupational therapy. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy from the University of New England in 1995. Paul’s clinical background spans outpatient clinics, rehabilitation programs, long-term acute care, and school-based services. His therapeutic toolkit includes Sensory Processing and Integration, Neuro-developmental Treatment (NDT), Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF), the Rood Technique, manual therapies, the Wilbarger Protocol, Brain Gym®, Integrative Listening System (ILS), Rhythmic Movement Training (RMTi), The Haller Method, therapeutic feeding and positioning, splinting, wheelchair assessments, assistive technologies, and other durable medical equipment. A teacher and encourager at heart, Paul is currently consulting on the development of a sensory-friendly preschool and previously designed a sensory gym for a local pediatric therapy company. His work is now focused on helping medically fragile children reach their highest functional potential through compassionate, evidence-based care.
