During her 14-year tenure, she authored seven books and numerous articles on cancer and the importance of exercise as a vital component of treatment. As a speech-language pathologist, she worked at most of the major rehabilitation centers in Denver, Colorado. Her unique background in speech-language pathology and oncology qualifies her to address both the practical and theoretical aspects of cognitive deficits commonly known as “chemo brain,” formally referred to in the literature as Cancer Treatment–Related Cognitive Impairment.
