Steven Leeds Richman

Steven Richman is a hospitalist physician and co-owner/co-founder of Communication Rescue Services, LLC. Dr. Richman is a board-certified Family Physician. He has worked primarily in the inpatient rehabilitation hospital setting for twenty years. What attracted him most to the inpatient rehabilitation hospital setting is connecting with his patients and helping them to make progress through this challenging period in their lives. He has worked extensively with patients suffering from stroke and brain injuries. Many of whom have communication challenges. With no formal training in use of supportive conversation techniques, he had always felt there were barriers to giving patients with aphasia the same quality of care. In partnering with Hilary, he continues to learn how to better communicate with people with aphasia. The Guided Communication: Medical Concerns app combines supportive conversation techniques with a thorough medical evaluation. He has presented at OSLHA, OSLHA Learning Academy, AMPRA, and ASHA.
