Shirley Huang, PhD, CCC-SLP is a bilingual language developmental researcher, speech-language pathologist, and health and science policy analyst. She is currently a health and science policy fellow with the Society for Research in Child Development (SRCD)/American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) at the National Institutes of Health, Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development. Her goal is to increase health equity and reduce healthcare barriers for bilingual children and their families through culturally-competent clinical care, community-engaged research, and health and science policy changes. Shirley is also an affiliate faculty at Metropolitan State University of Denver and teaches a graduate-level class on bilingualism and is excited to train the next generation of clinicians.
