Intellectual disability (ID) is a developmental condition characterized by significantly below-average intellectual functioning and deficits in adaptive behaviors that emerge before age 18.

Common Types:

  • Mild intellectual disability
  • Moderate intellectual disability
  • Severe/profound intellectual disability
