Pitch

Overview:

Pitch is the perceptual quality of how high or low a voice sounds, determined by the frequency of vocal fold vibration. It varies with age, sex, and physiological factors. Abnormal pitch can indicate voice disorders, hormonal changes, or motor speech issues. SLPs assess and treat pitch to ensure healthy voice function and appropriate prosody.
