This course will explore the supervisory relationship and options open to new graduates. Requirements for eligibility will be discussed, and what new graduates should look for in a mentorship/supervisory relationship. Steps to be completed before beginning a new job and a review of various new position settings will be addressed. Effective supervision will be explored, and effective self-advocacy will be discussed. Taking a job with a placement company versus individual placement options will be compared. Finally, preparing for an interview, recommendations, and resume writing will be discussed.
