This course meets ASHA's Supervision PD requirement.
Without guidance, SLPA supervision can be a hodgepodge of ideas and strategies based on what worked for the supervisor in the past. This is not always what is best for the specific SLPA being supervised. If the supervisor’s purpose is to help the SLPA reach their highest potential, this isn’t always the most beneficial. This course will provide multiple specific strategies in order to broaden the supervisor’s options of how to supervise. The supervisor will then be able to pull from these options to provide individualized supervision for the specific SLPA they are working with.
