Regardless of therapeutic methodology, speech production is dependent on correct placement, manner, and voice. At the core of those descriptors lies the importance of where and how the tongue, lips, and jaw stabilize and mobilize to formulate speech productions. In addition, most require lingual bracing (internal & external), and all lingual consonants (except “th”) require vertical movements. So, how do we generate them for our clients? These, and other issues, are addressed.
