Rebecca Martinez, MS, introduces the Universal Design for Learning (UDL) Framework and explores how it can help speech-language pathologists create more accessible, inclusive learning environments for all students. This course will examine why traditional approaches may unintentionally create barriers to participation and how UDL strategies can support both language development and academic success.
Participants will learn how UDL can be used to increase access, reduce barriers, and support diverse learning needs across educational settings. Rebecca will also discuss ways school-based SLPs can collaborate with teachers and other educational staff to integrate UDL into everyday instruction while supporting IEP goals and student participation.
