Vocabulary skills from basic concepts through curriculum-based vocabulary are essential for understanding and production, which then leads to reading and writing success. Once vocabulary is learned, the ability to quickly and accurately retrieve these words is necessary to communicate. This course will provide ways to choose vocabulary words for intervention and techniques and strategies for acquiring, retaining, and retrieving new words.
