This episode features Miriam Campbell, MA, SLP-CCC, MSW. Miriam explains the benefits of using a team approach to teach Social Emotional Learning and Social Skills. Her approach, called The Skills for Connection, focuses on generalizing skills and using visualization to integrate concepts and empower individuals. Miriam emphasizes the HOW and WHY the Skill Constructs are used. This approach uses an RTI-style model and focuses on language, cognitive, and emotional skill development.
